Tutor Connect Global is an online platform that connects parents with qualified, vetted tutors for one-on-one tutoring sessions. We handle scheduling, payments, and progress tracking so you can focus on your child's learning.

Most sessions are 60 minutes long. Some tutors also offer 30-minute or 90-minute options depending on the subject and the student's age. You'll see the session length before you book.

Most lessons happen online via Zoom or Google Meet — the tutor will send a meeting link before each session. Some tutors also offer in-person tutoring depending on your location. You can filter by "Online" or "In-Person" when searching for a tutor.

After each session, tutors submit a brief progress note covering what was taught, areas of strength, and areas for improvement. Parents can view these notes from the dashboard. Over time, you'll see a clear picture of your child's learning journey across all subjects.

Go to "Find Tutors," select your child, choose a subject, pick a tutor, and select an available time slot. You'll receive a confirmation email with the session details and meeting link (for online lessons).

Yes. You can reschedule up to 24 hours before the session start time at no extra cost. Go to "My Bookings," find the session, and choose a new time slot. Rescheduling within 24 hours may be subject to a late-change fee at the tutor's discretion.

Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the session receive a full refund. Cancellations within 24 hours are refunded at 50%. No-shows are non-refundable. Subscription sessions can be rescheduled but not refunded individually.

All tutors undergo a thorough vetting process including identity verification (government-issued ID), CV review, and background checks. Sessions are conducted through secure, trackable channels (Zoom/Google Meet). Parents have full visibility into session history, progress notes, and tutor profiles. We also have a dedicated safeguarding team you can contact at any time.

Absolutely. Parents are welcome to observe any online session. For younger children especially, we encourage parents to be nearby during the first few sessions to help build rapport between the tutor and child.

Sign up as a tutor, complete your profile with your qualifications and experience, upload your CV and a government-issued photo ID, and submit for review. Our team typically reviews applications within 2–3 business days.

Every tutor application is reviewed manually by our admin team. We verify your identity, review your CV and qualifications, and check references where applicable. Only approved tutors can appear in search results and accept bookings. Tutors who receive consistent negative feedback may be suspended pending review.

Yes. Tutors set their own availability and hourly rates. You can update your schedule at any time from your dashboard. Rates are displayed on your public profile so parents know the cost upfront.

We accept all major credit and debit cards through Stripe. For tutor payouts, we support Payoneer and Wise. All transactions are encrypted and PCI-compliant.

If you cancel a session more than 24 hours in advance, you receive a full refund to your original payment method within 5–7 business days. Cancellations within 24 hours receive a 50% refund. If a tutor cancels, you receive a full refund plus the option to rebook at a discounted rate.

A subscription gives you a set number of sessions per month at a lower per-session rate — ideal for ongoing, regular tutoring. Pay-as-you-go lets you book individual sessions with full flexibility but at a slightly higher per-session cost. You can switch between plans at any time.

Yes — we offer a discounted first lesson with new tutors, sibling discounts when booking for multiple children, and referral bonuses when you invite other parents. Seasonal promotions may also apply. Check your dashboard or contact support for current offers.

Click "Forgot Password" on the login page and enter your email address. You'll receive a password reset link within a few minutes. If you don't see the email, check your spam folder or contact support.

First, check your internet connection and try refreshing the meeting link. If the issue persists, switch to a different browser or device. You can also ask the tutor to switch to a backup platform (e.g., from Zoom to Google Meet). If the session cannot continue, contact support for a refund or reschedule.

Go to "My Children" in the Parent Dashboard. From there you can add new children, edit their details (name, grade, subjects), or remove a profile. Each child has their own booking history and progress notes.

This guide will walk you through everything you need to know to get started and succeed on our platform.

Your Account Setup Checklist

Step 1: Client Search for Tutors

Clients can search tutors by:

  • Subject

Step 2: Clients View Your Profile

Clients review your qualifications, teaching experience, ratings and reviews, and availability.

Step 3: Booking Lessons

When a client selects your profile, they pay for sessions either pay-as-you-go or via subscriptions. A notification email/text will be sent to confirm booking schedules and time, as well as student information (also available on your dashboard).

Step 4: Deliver Lessons

Book your Google Meet classroom according to paid duration (hour or minutes) and upload your dashboard with links for clients to see.

Important Notes

  • No payment for cancellation of classes and network disruptions. Make ample arrangements for all learning materials and lighting before class.
  • Give not less than 24 hours notice before cancellation.
  • Every class session will be recorded and sent to admin support on WhatsApp to protect you and the client in case of any legal issues.
  • At the end of every class, sign in and confirm class session completed, which will also be confirmed by the client.
  • Asking for reviews at the end of every class is important as it boosts your profile. Reviews should be posted on your profile.

The platform takes 40% of the total paid by the client, and the tutor receives 60%. For example, if a client pays $80 per month, Tutor Connect Global takes $32 and you get $48.

Preferred payment method will be through the account details filled out on your dashboard. Payment method options include:
